Ash-Shu'ara (26)

قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِى بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ 112❚
إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّى ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ 113❚
وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 114❚
إِنْ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ 115❚
قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَـٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَرْجُومِينَ 116❚
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى كَذَّبُونِ 117❚
فَٱفْتَحْ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِى وَمَن مَّعِىَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 118❚
فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ 119❚
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ 120❚
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ 121❚
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ 122❚
كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 123❚
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ 124❚
إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ 125❚
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ 126❚
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ 127❚
أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةً تَعْبَثُونَ 128❚
وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ 129❚
وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُم بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ 130❚
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ 131❚
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ 132❚
أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنْعَـٰمٍ وَبَنِينَ 133❚
وَجَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ 134❚
إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ 135❚
قَالُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ 136❚
قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِى بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
He said, ‘What knowledge do I have of what they used to do?

إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّى ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ
It is for my Lord alone to bring them to account- if only you could see-

وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
I will not drive believers away.
Ash-Shu'ara

إِنْ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
I am here only to give people a clear warning.’

قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَـٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَرْجُومِينَ
So they said, ‘Noah, if you do not stop this, you will be stoned.’

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى كَذَّبُونِ
He said, ‘My Lord, my people have rejected me,
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 117

فَٱفْتَحْ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِى وَمَن مَّعِىَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
so make a firm judgement between me and them, and save me and my believing followers.’

فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ
So We saved him and his followers in the fully laden ship,

ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ
and drowned the rest.

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
There truly is a sign in this, though most of them do not believe:

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
your Lord alone is the Almighty, the Merciful.

كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
The people of Ad, too, called the messengers liars.

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
Their brother Hud said to them, ‘Will you not be mindful of God?

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
I am a faithful messenger sent to you:
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 125

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
be mindful of God and obey me.
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 126

Hizb 8/1
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
I ask no reward of you, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Worlds.

أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةً تَعْبَثُونَ
How can you be so vain that you set up monuments on every high place?
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 128

وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ
Do you build fortresses because you hope to be immortal?
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 129

وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُم بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ
Why do you act like tyrants whenever you attack someone?
Ash-Shu'ara

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Be mindful of God and obey me;

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ
be mindful of Him who has provided you with everything you know-

أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنْعَـٰمٍ وَبَنِينَ
He has given you livestock, sons,
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 133

إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
for I truly fear that the torment of a grievous day will overtake you.’

قَالُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ
They replied, ‘It makes no difference to us whether you warn us or not,
