Ash-Shu'ara (26)

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُمَتَّعُونَ 207❚
وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ 208❚
ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ 209❚
وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ 210❚
وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ 211❚
إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ 212❚
فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ 213❚
وَأَنذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ ٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ 214❚
وَٱخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 215❚
فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ 216❚
وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ 217❚
ٱلَّذِى يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ 218❚
وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ 219❚
إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ 220❚
هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ 221❚
تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ 222❚
يُلْقُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَـٰذِبُونَ 223❚
وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلْغَاوُۥنَ 224❚
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى كُلِّ وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ 225❚
وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ 226❚
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبُونَ 227❚
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُمَتَّعُونَ
what good would their past enjoyment be to them?
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 207

Hizb 8/1
وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ
Never have We destroyed a town without sending down messengers to warn it,
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 208

ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ
as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust.

وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ
It was not the jinn who brought down this Quran:
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 210

Hizb 8/1
وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
it is neither in their interests nor in their power,
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 211

إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ
indeed they are prevented from overhearing it.
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 212

Hizb 8/1
فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ
So [Prophet] do not invoke any gods beside God, or you will incur punishment.
Ash-Shu'ara

وَأَنذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ ٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ
Warn your nearest kinsfolk
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 214

وَٱخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
and lower your wing tenderly over the believers who follow you.

فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
If they disobey you, say, ‘I bear no responsibility for your actions.’

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Put your trust in the Almighty, the Merciful,
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 217

Hizb 8/1
ٱلَّذِى يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ
who sees you when you stand up [for prayer]
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 218

Hizb 8/1
وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
and sees your movements among the worshippers:

Hizb 8/1
إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing.

- Verse 220

هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ
Shall I tell you who the jinn come down to?
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 221

تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ
They come down to every lying sinner
Ash-Shu'ara
- Verse 222

يُلْقُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَـٰذِبُونَ
who readily lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars:

وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلْغَاوُۥنَ
only those who are lost in error follow the poets.

- Verse 224

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى كُلِّ وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ
Do you not see how they rove aimlessly in every valley;

وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ
how they say what they do not do?

- Verse 226

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبُونَ
Not so those [poets] who believe, do good deeds, remember God often, and defend themselves after they have been wronged. The evildoers will find out what they will return to.
