Sad (38)

وَقَالُوا۟ مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ رِجَالًا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ 62❚
أَتَّخَذْنَـٰهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ 63❚
إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَحَقٌّ تَخَاصُمُ أَهْلِ ٱلنَّارِ 64❚
قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ مُنذِرٌ ۖ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَـٰهٍ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ٱلْوَٰحِدُ ٱلْقَهَّارُ 65❚
رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْغَفَّـٰرُ 66❚
قُلْ هُوَ نَبَؤٌا۟ عَظِيمٌ 67❚
أَنتُمْ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضُونَ 68❚
مَا كَانَ لِىَ مِنْ عِلْمٍۭ بِٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰٓ إِذْ يَخْتَصِمُونَ 69❚
إِن يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ إِلَّآ أَنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ 70❚
إِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّى خَـٰلِقٌۢ بَشَرًا مِّن طِينٍ 71❚
فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُۥ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَـٰجِدِينَ 72❚
فَسَجَدَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ 73❚
إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ ٱسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ 74❚
قَالَ يَـٰٓإِبْلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَىَّ ۖ أَسْتَكْبَرْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْعَالِينَ 75❚
قَالَ أَنَا۠ خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ ۖ خَلَقْتَنِى مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُۥ مِن طِينٍ 76❚
قَالَ فَٱخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ 77❚
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ لَعْنَتِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ 78❚
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ 79❚
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنظَرِينَ 80❚
إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْوَقْتِ ٱلْمَعْلُومِ 81❚
قَالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ 82❚
إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ 83❚
وَقَالُوا۟ مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ رِجَالًا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ
They will say, ‘Why do we not see those we thought were bad
Sad
- Verse 62

أَتَّخَذْنَـٰهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ
and took as a laughing-stock? Have our eyes missed them?’
Sad
- Verse 63

Hizb 8/1
إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَحَقٌّ تَخَاصُمُ أَهْلِ ٱلنَّارِ
This is how it will really be: the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way.

- Verse 64

قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ مُنذِرٌ ۖ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَـٰهٍ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ٱلْوَٰحِدُ ٱلْقَهَّارُ
[Prophet] say, ‘I am only here to give warning. There is no god but God the One, the All Powerful,

- Verse 65

Hizb 8/1
رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْغَفَّـٰرُ
Lord of the heavens and earth and everything between, the Almighty, the Most Forgiving.’

- Verse 66

قُلْ هُوَ نَبَؤٌا۟ عَظِيمٌ
Say, ‘This message is a mighty one,

- Verse 67

مَا كَانَ لِىَ مِنْ عِلْمٍۭ بِٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰٓ إِذْ يَخْتَصِمُونَ
I have no knowledge of what those on high discuss:
Sad
- Verse 69

إِن يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ إِلَّآ أَنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
it is only revealed to me that I am here to give clear warning.’

- Verse 70

إِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّى خَـٰلِقٌۢ بَشَرًا مِّن طِينٍ
Your Lord said to the angels, ‘I will create a man from clay.
Sad
- Verse 71

فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُۥ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَـٰجِدِينَ
When I have shaped him and breathed from My Spirit into him, bow down before him.’

فَسَجَدَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ
The angels all bowed down together,
Sad
- Verse 73
Juz 25
Hizb 8/1
إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ ٱسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
but not Iblis, who was too proud. He became a rebel.

- Verse 74

Hizb 8/1
قَالَ يَـٰٓإِبْلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَىَّ ۖ أَسْتَكْبَرْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْعَالِينَ
God said, ‘Iblis, what prevents you from bowing down to the man I have made with My own hands? Are you too high and mighty?’

- Verse 75

قَالَ أَنَا۠ خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ ۖ خَلَقْتَنِى مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُۥ مِن طِينٍ
Iblis said, ‘I am better than him: You made me from fire, and him from clay.’

- Verse 76

قَالَ فَٱخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ
‘Get out of here! You are rejected:
Sad
- Verse 77

Hizb 8/1
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ لَعْنَتِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ
My rejection will follow you till the Day of Judgement!’
Sad
- Verse 78

قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
but Iblis said, ‘My Lord, grant me respite until the Day when they are raised from the dead,’

- Verse 79

Hizb 8/1
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنظَرِينَ
so He said, ‘You have respite
Sad
- Verse 80
Juz 25
Hizb 8/1
إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْوَقْتِ ٱلْمَعْلُومِ
till the Appointed Day.’

- Verse 81

Hizb 8/1
قَالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
Iblis said, ‘I swear by Your might! I will tempt all
Sad
- Verse 82
Juz 25
Hizb 8/1
إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
but Your true servants.’

- Verse 83
