As-Saffat (37)

مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ 25❚
بَلْ هُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ 26❚
وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ 27❚
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ 28❚
قَالُوا۟ بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ 29❚
وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَـٰنٍۭ ۖ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا طَـٰغِينَ 30❚
فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَآ ۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ 31❚
فَأَغْوَيْنَـٰكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَـٰوِينَ 32❚
فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ 33❚
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ 34❚
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوٓا۟ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ 35❚
وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَّجْنُونٍۭ 36❚
بَلْ جَآءَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 37❚
إِنَّكُمْ لَذَآئِقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْأَلِيمِ 38❚
وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ 39❚
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ 40❚
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌ مَّعْلُومٌ 41❚
فَوَٰكِهُ ۖ وَهُم مُّكْرَمُونَ 42❚
فِى جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ 43❚
عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ 44❚
يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍۭ 45❚
بَيْضَآءَ لَذَّةٍ لِّلشَّـٰرِبِينَ 46❚
لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنزَفُونَ 47❚
وَعِندَهُمْ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ عِينٌ 48❚
كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌ مَّكْنُونٌ 49❚
فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ 50❚
قَالَ قَآئِلٌ مِّنْهُمْ إِنِّى كَانَ لِى قَرِينٌ 51❚
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ
“Why do you not support each other now?” ’––
As-Saffat
- Verse 25

Hizb 8/1
بَلْ هُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ
no indeed! They will be in complete submission on that Day––
As-Saffat
- Verse 26

Hizb 8/1
وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
and they will turn on one another accusingly.
As-Saffat
- Verse 27

Hizb 8/1
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ
They will say, ‘You came to us from a position of power.’
As-Saffat
- Verse 28

قَالُوا۟ بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ
They will say, ‘No! It was you who would not believe-
As-Saffat
- Verse 29

وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَـٰنٍۭ ۖ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا طَـٰغِينَ
we had no power over you- and you were already exceeding all limits.
As-Saffat
- Verse 30

Hizb 8/1
فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَآ ۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ
Our Lord’s sentence on us is just and we must all taste the punishment.
As-Saffat
- Verse 31

Hizb 8/1
فَأَغْوَيْنَـٰكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَـٰوِينَ
We led you astray as we ourselves were astray.’
As-Saffat
- Verse 32

Hizb 8/1
فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ
On that Day they will all share the torment:
As-Saffat
- Verse 33

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
this is how We deal with the guilty.
As-Saffat
- Verse 34

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوٓا۟ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
Whenever it was said to them, ‘There is no deity but God,’ they became arrogant,
As-Saffat
- Verse 35

وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَّجْنُونٍۭ
and said, ‘Are we to forsake our gods for a mad poet?’
As-Saffat
- Verse 36

بَلْ جَآءَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
‘No: he brought the truth and confirmed the earlier messengers;
As-Saffat

إِنَّكُمْ لَذَآئِقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْأَلِيمِ
you will taste the painful torment,
As-Saffat
- Verse 38

Hizb 8/1
وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
and be repaid only according to your deeds.’
As-Saffat
- Verse 39

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
Not so God’s true servants.
As-Saffat

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌ مَّعْلُومٌ
They will have familiar provisions––
As-Saffat
- Verse 41

فَوَٰكِهُ ۖ وَهُم مُّكْرَمُونَ
fruits- and will be honoured
As-Saffat
- Verse 42

Hizb 8/1
عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ
seated on couches, facing one another.
As-Saffat
- Verse 44

Hizb 8/1
يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍۭ
A drink will be passed round among them from a flowing spring:
As-Saffat
- Verse 45

بَيْضَآءَ لَذَّةٍ لِّلشَّـٰرِبِينَ
white, delicious to those who taste it,
As-Saffat
- Verse 46

Hizb 8/1
لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنزَفُونَ
causing no headiness or intoxication.
As-Saffat
- Verse 47

وَعِندَهُمْ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ عِينٌ
With them will be spouses- modest of gaze and beautiful of eye-
As-Saffat

فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
They will turn to one another with questions:
As-Saffat

قَالَ قَآئِلٌ مِّنْهُمْ إِنِّى كَانَ لِى قَرِينٌ
one will say, ‘I had a close companion on earth
