Ad-Dukhan (44)

وَأَن لَّا تَعْلُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّىٓ ءَاتِيكُم بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ 19❚
وَإِنِّى عُذْتُ بِرَبِّى وَرَبِّكُمْ أَن تَرْجُمُونِ 20❚
وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْمِنُوا۟ لِى فَٱعْتَزِلُونِ 21❚
فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوْمٌ مُّجْرِمُونَ 22❚
فَأَسْرِ بِعِبَادِى لَيْلًا إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ 23❚
وَٱتْرُكِ ٱلْبَحْرَ رَهْوًا ۖ إِنَّهُمْ جُندٌ مُّغْرَقُونَ 24❚
كَمْ تَرَكُوا۟ مِن جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ 25❚
وَزُرُوعٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ 26❚
وَنَعْمَةٍ كَانُوا۟ فِيهَا فَـٰكِهِينَ 27❚
كَذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَأَوْرَثْنَـٰهَا قَوْمًا ءَاخَرِينَ 28❚
فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنظَرِينَ 29❚
وَلَقَدْ نَجَّيْنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْمُهِينِ 30❚
مِن فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَالِيًا مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ 31❚
وَلَقَدِ ٱخْتَرْنَـٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ عَلَى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ 32❚
وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَـٰٓؤٌا۟ مُّبِينٌ 33❚
إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَيَقُولُونَ 34❚
إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّا مَوْتَتُنَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ 35❚
فَأْتُوا۟ بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ 36❚
أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ مُجْرِمِينَ 37❚
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَـٰعِبِينَ 38❚
مَا خَلَقْنَـٰهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ 39❚
وَأَن لَّا تَعْلُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّىٓ ءَاتِيكُم بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ
Do not consider yourselves to be above God! I come to you with clear authority.

Hizb 8/1
وَإِنِّى عُذْتُ بِرَبِّى وَرَبِّكُمْ أَن تَرْجُمُونِ
I seek refuge in my Lord and yours against your insults!

وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْمِنُوا۟ لِى فَٱعْتَزِلُونِ
If you do not believe me, just let me be.’

فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوْمٌ مُّجْرِمُونَ
[Moses] cried to his Lord, ‘These people are evildoers!’
Ad-Dukhan
- Verse 22

Hizb 8/1
فَأَسْرِ بِعِبَادِى لَيْلًا إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ
[God replied], ‘Escape in the night with My servants, for you are sure to be pursued.

Hizb 8/1
وَٱتْرُكِ ٱلْبَحْرَ رَهْوًا ۖ إِنَّهُمْ جُندٌ مُّغْرَقُونَ
Leave the sea behind you parted and their army will be drowned.’

كَمْ تَرَكُوا۟ مِن جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
Many a garden and spring they left behind,

وَزُرُوعٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ
many a cornfield and noble building,

وَنَعْمَةٍ كَانُوا۟ فِيهَا فَـٰكِهِينَ
many a thing in which they had delighted:

- Verse 27

كَذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَأَوْرَثْنَـٰهَا قَوْمًا ءَاخَرِينَ
We gave these to another people to inherit.

فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنظَرِينَ
Neither heavens nor earth shed a tear for them, nor were they given any time.

وَلَقَدْ نَجَّيْنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْمُهِينِ
We saved the Children of Israel from their degrading suffering

مِن فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَالِيًا مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
at the hands of Pharaoh: he was a tyrant who exceeded all bounds.

وَلَقَدِ ٱخْتَرْنَـٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ عَلَى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
We chose them knowingly above others:

وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَـٰٓؤٌا۟ مُّبِينٌ
We gave them revelations in which there was a clear test.
Ad-Dukhan

Hizb 8/1
إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَيَقُولُونَ
These people here assert,

Hizb 8/1
إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّا مَوْتَتُنَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ
‘There is nothing beyond our one death: we will not be resurrected.
Ad-Dukhan
- Verse 35

Hizb 8/1
فَأْتُوا۟ بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ
Bring back our forefathers, if what you say is true.’

أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ مُجْرِمِينَ
Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who flourished before them? We destroyed them all- they were guilty.

Hizb 8/1
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَـٰعِبِينَ
We were not playing a pointless game when We created the heavens and earth and everything in between;

Hizb 8/1
مَا خَلَقْنَـٰهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
We created them for a true purpose, but most people do not comprehend.
