Al-Inshiqaq (84)

إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ 1❚
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ 2❚
وَإِذَا ٱلْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ 3❚
وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ 4❚
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ 5❚
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَـٰقِيهِ 6❚
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ 7❚
فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا 8❚
وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا 9❚
وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهِۦ 10❚
فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًا 11❚
وَيَصْلَىٰ سَعِيرًا 12❚
إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِىٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا 13❚
إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ 14❚
بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرًا 15❚
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ 16❚
وَٱلَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ 17❚
وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ 18❚
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍ 19❚
فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ 20❚
وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ ۩۩ 21❚
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُكَذِّبُونَ 22❚
وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ 23❚
فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ 24❚
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۭ 25❚
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ
When the sky is ripped apart,
Al-Inshiqaq
- Verse 1

Hizb 8/1
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
obeying its Lord as it rightly must,

- Verse 2

وَإِذَا ٱلْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ
when the earth is levelled out,

- Verse 3

Hizb 8/1
وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ
casts out its contents, and becomes empty,

- Verse 4

وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
obeying its Lord as it rightly must,

- Verse 5

Hizb 8/1
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَـٰقِيهِ
you humans, toiling laboriously towards your Lord, will meet Him:

- Verse 6

فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ
whoever is given his record in his right hand

- Verse 7

Hizb 8/1
فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا
will have an easy reckoning

- Verse 8

Hizb 8/1
وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا
and return to his people well pleased,

- Verse 9

وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهِۦ
but whoever is given his record from behind his back
Al-Inshiqaq
- Verse 10

Hizb 8/1
فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًا
will cry out for destruction––
Al-Inshiqaq
- Verse 11
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
وَيَصْلَىٰ سَعِيرًا
he will burn in the blazing Fire.

- Verse 12
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِىٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا
He used to live among his people well pleased.
Al-Inshiqaq
- Verse 13
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ
He thought he would never return [to his Lord]––

- Verse 14
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرًا
indeed he will! His Lord was watching him.

- Verse 15
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ
I swear by the glow of sunset,
Al-Inshiqaq
- Verse 16
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
وَٱلَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ
by the night and what it covers,
Al-Inshiqaq
- Verse 17
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍ
you will progress from stage to stage.

- Verse 19
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
So why do they not believe?

- Verse 20

Sajdah point
وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ ۩
Why, when the Quran is read to them, do they not prostrate themselves [to God]?
Al-Inshiqaq
- Verse 21

Hizb 8/1
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُكَذِّبُونَ
No! The disbelievers reject the Quran––

- Verse 22
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ
God knows best what they keep hidden inside––

- Verse 23

Hizb 8/1
فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
so give them news of a painful torment.

- Verse 24
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۭ
But those who believe and do good deeds will have a never-ending reward.
