Al-Buruj (85)

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْبُرُوجِ 1❚
وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْمَوْعُودِ 2❚
وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ 3❚
قُتِلَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْأُخْدُودِ 4❚
ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلْوَقُودِ 5❚
إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌ 6❚
وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌ 7❚
وَمَا نَقَمُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ 8❚
ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ 9❚
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا۟ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا۟ فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ ٱلْحَرِيقِ 10❚
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّـٰتٌ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْكَبِيرُ 11❚
إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ 12❚
إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ 13❚
وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلْوَدُودُ 14❚
ذُو ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْمَجِيدُ 15❚
فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ 16❚
هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْجُنُودِ 17❚
فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ 18❚
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى تَكْذِيبٍ 19❚
وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطٌۢ 20❚
بَلْ هُوَ قُرْءَانٌ مَّجِيدٌ 21❚
فِى لَوْحٍ مَّحْفُوظٍۭ 22❚
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْبُرُوجِ
By the sky with its towering constellations,
Al-Buruj
- Verse 1
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ
by the Witness and that which is witnessed,

قُتِلَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْأُخْدُودِ
damned were the makers of the trench,

- Verse 4

Hizb 8/1
ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلْوَقُودِ
the makers of the fuel-stoked fire!

- Verse 5

Hizb 8/1
وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌ
to watch what they were doing to the believers.

وَمَا نَقَمُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ
Their only grievance against them was their faith in God, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy,

- Verse 8

Hizb 8/1
ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ
to whom all control over the heavens and earth belongs: God is witness over all things.
Al-Buruj
- Verse 9
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا۟ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا۟ فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ ٱلْحَرِيقِ
For those who persecute believing men and women, and do not repent afterwards, there will be the torment of Hell and burning.

- Verse 10

Hizb 8/1
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّـٰتٌ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْكَبِيرُ
But for those who believe and do good deeds there will be Gardens graced with flowing streams: that is the great triumph.
Al-Buruj
- Verse 11
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ
[Prophet], your Lord’s punishment is truly stern––
Al-Buruj
- Verse 12

Hizb 8/1
إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ
it is He who brings people to life, and will restore them to life again––

- Verse 13

Hizb 8/1
وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلْوَدُودُ
and He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Loving.

- Verse 14

Hizb 8/1
ذُو ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْمَجِيدُ
The Glorious Lord of the Throne,
Al-Buruj
- Verse 15
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْجُنُودِ
Have you [not] heard the stories of the forces
Al-Buruj
- Verse 17
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى تَكْذِيبٍ
Yet still the disbelievers persist in denial.

- Verse 19
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطٌۢ
God surrounds them all.

Hizb 8/1
بَلْ هُوَ قُرْءَانٌ مَّجِيدٌ
This is truly a glorious Quran
