Al-Layl (92)

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ۩ 1❚
وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ 2❚
وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ 3❚
إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ 4❚
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ 5❚
وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ 6❚
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ 7❚
وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ 8❚
وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ 9❚
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ 10❚
وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ 11❚
إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ 12❚
وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ 13❚
فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ 14❚
۩
Sajdah point
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ
By the enshrouding night,
Al-Layl
- Verse 1
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
by His creation of male and female!
Al-Layl
- Verse 3
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ
The ways you take differ greatly.
Al-Layl
- Verse 4

Hizb 8/1
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ
There is the one who gives, who is mindful of God,
Al-Layl
- Verse 5
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
We shall smooth his way towards ease.
Al-Layl
- Verse 7

Hizb 8/1
وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ
There is the one who is miserly, who is self-satisfied,
Al-Layl
- Verse 8

Hizb 8/1
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ
We shall smooth his way towards hardship
Al-Layl
- Verse 10
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ
and his wealth will not help him as he falls.
Al-Layl
- Verse 11
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ
Our part is to provide guidance––
Al-Layl
- Verse 12
Juz 30
Hizb 8/1
وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ
this world and the next belong to Us––

- Verse 13

Hizb 8/1
فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ
so I warn you about the raging Fire,
