تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ 1❚
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ 2❚
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ 3❚
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ 4❚
فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ۩ 5❚
تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined! May he be ruined too!
Al-Masad

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ
Neither his wealth nor his gains will help him:

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ
he will burn in the Flaming Fire––

وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ
and so will his wife, the firewood-carrier,

Sajdah point
فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ
with a palm-fibre rope around her neck.
