Al-Muddaththir (74)

Verses: 56
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمُدَّثِّرُ
You, wrapped in your cloak,

Al-Muddaththir - Verse 1
Details
قُمْ فَأَنذِرْ
arise and give warning!
Alafasy
Al-Muddaththir - Verse 2
Details
وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرْ
Proclaim the greatness of your Lord;
Alafasy
Al-Muddaththir - Verse 3
Details
وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرْ
cleanse yourself;
Alafasy
Al-Muddaththir - Verse 4
Details
وَٱلرُّجْزَ فَٱهْجُرْ
keep away from all filth;
Alafasy
Al-Muddaththir - Verse 5
Details
وَلَا تَمْنُن تَسْتَكْثِرُ
do not be overwhelmed and weaken;
Alafasy
Al-Muddaththir - Verse 6
Details
وَلِرَبِّكَ فَٱصْبِرْ
be steadfast in your Lord’s cause.

Al-Muddaththir - Verse 7
Details
فَإِذَا نُقِرَ فِى ٱلنَّاقُورِ
When the Trumpet sounds,

Al-Muddaththir - Verse 8
Details
فَذَٰلِكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوْمٌ عَسِيرٌ
that will be a Day of anguish for the disbelievers.

Al-Muddaththir - Verse 9
Details
عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ غَيْرُ يَسِيرٍ
They will have no ease.

Al-Muddaththir - Verse 10
Details
ذَرْنِى وَمَنْ خَلَقْتُ وَحِيدًا
[Prophet], leave Me to deal with the one I created helpless,

Al-Muddaththir - Verse 11
Details
وَجَعَلْتُ لَهُۥ مَالًا مَّمْدُودًا
then gave vast wealth,

Al-Muddaththir - Verse 12
Details
وَبَنِينَ شُهُودًا
and sons by his side,
Alafasy
Al-Muddaththir - Verse 13
Details
وَمَهَّدتُّ لَهُۥ تَمْهِيدًا
making everything easy for him––
Alafasy
Al-Muddaththir - Verse 14
Details
ثُمَّ يَطْمَعُ أَنْ أَزِيدَ
yet he still hopes I will give him more.
Alafasy
Al-Muddaththir - Verse 15
Details
كَلَّآ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا عَنِيدًا
No! He has been stubbornly hostile to Our revelation:
Alafasy
Al-Muddaththir - Verse 16
Details
سَأُرْهِقُهُۥ صَعُودًا
I will inflict a spiralling torment on him.
Alafasy
Al-Muddaththir - Verse 17
Details
إِنَّهُۥ فَكَّرَ وَقَدَّرَ
He planned and plotted––

Al-Muddaththir - Verse 18
Details
فَقُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَ
devilishly he plotted!

Al-Muddaththir - Verse 19
Details
ثُمَّ قُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَ
ferociously he plotted!––
